Rome in a Day Tour Electric Bike
Last Updated on July 16, 2020 by Dana Berez
You may start to feel overwhelmed when planning your trip to Rome because Rome is such a large city with many fascinating ancient landmarks you have to see. Trying to squeeze in all the sights and still have a relaxing time in Rome may be hard to manage. However, a great way to see the best of Rome in just 4 hours is to take a Rome Electric Bike Tour around the city with The Tour Guy!
They are a tour group company primarily based in Italy with all kinds of tours around Rome that specializes in making unforgettable memories. I had the pleasure of hopping on the Rome Electric Bike Tour to see what it was all about, and it was my favorite part of my Rome trip!

What to Expect
Checking In
The meeting time is at 9 am. You’ll get fitted for your bike so you feel comfortable and receive helmets. From there you’ll meet your knowledgeable guide and other members of the tour. In my case, we had a total of 4 others but groups can get up to 10-12 people.

Getting Comfortable
I’m not going to lie, I was a little bit nervous about riding in a foreign city on an electric bike. I’ve ridden bikes in Paris without a guide and got off right after. But having a guide made things so much easier! Biking around Rome with the Roman Guy was completely safe and so much fun, I wish I could have extended my bike rental!
I absolutely loved how our guide made everyone feel comfortable on the bikes as we all were at different skill levels. She made sure we all caught up with her and didn’t go too fast! No matter your skill level, if you can ride a bike, you’ll find this tour to be a fun experience. The motor does all the hard work so you’ll hardly have to pedal!
Also, in Rome, there are no lights in pedestrian crosswalks in busy intersections. As a pedestrian, you just cross the street and wait for the cars to stop! In these cases, we walked our bikes across the street and then resumed biking.
What You’ll Cover
You’ll start your ride at Aventine Hill and take in the most scenic view of Rome! From there your fun journey begins. Your guide will take you through beautiful side streets to get to the main attractions! We stopped at each attraction and got off our bikes to learn more information: Circus Maximus, the famous Colosseum, the Roman Fourm, the Vittorio Emanuele II Monument, Michalangelo’s beautiful Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, and the Pantheon.
At the Pantheon, we took a 20-minute break to get a snack and see inside the Pantheon! I decided to get some coffee and tiramisu at Tazza dD’oro, which was so busy it reminded me of Julia Roberts in Eat Pray Love!
After our break, we got back on the bikes and finished off our tour riding through Piazza Navona, the Jewish Quarter, and Theatre of Marcellus which is 100 years older than the Colosseum!
Thoughts
This was by far the best way to see Rome in just 4 hours! After doing the Rome Electric Bike Tour I had a better sense of direction of the city that helped me navigate after the tour was over! If you are short on time in Rome and want to see all the sights while learning loads of information, I highly recommend this tour! You can book tickets online on their website here!

Wonderful photos. I love exploring a city by bike. A guided tour is a great idea so you can focus on the sights rather than navigation.
