If you’re dreaming of a Positano getaway and want to stay in the best hotels in Positano with a view that offer Amalfi Coast Charm, incredible sea views, with great proximity to the beach, you’re in the right place.
I’ve sorted the best Hotels in Positano Italy with a view, a mix of luxury hotels, boutique hotels, and villas, that offer incredible breathtaking vistas of the Tyrrhenian sea.
But here are some important tips. I can’t stress enough the importance of booking your accommodation as early as possible, especially if you want to be in the center of town.
I usually book my accommodation in Positano 7-9 months in advance. In fact, to have the most options, a year in advance is advised. I know it sounds a bit extreme, but due to the popularity of Positano and the limited room inventory, you’ll have more options if you book early.
If you’re booking a last-minute trip, you might have to stay in neighboring towns like Praiano or Sorrento.

Hotel Poseidon Positano
Hotel Posideon started as a family vacation home but was turned into a hotel and it’s still family-run and operated with a history of 60 years. As you walk in, it feels like home before a hotel and has elegant comfortable decor.
Fun fact: Hotel Posideon has the first elevator in Positano, and it’s still in use today.
Room Types: There are 48 rooms and suites that all have their own unique charm. But if you’re looking for an epic view as you wake up, the sea view rooms offer panoramic views of Positano including the church, the main beach, and the town center that come with your own private terrace.
Amenities: The amenities at Hotel Poseidon include a swimming pool located on the panoramic terrace, so you can swim and take in the incredible views. There’s also a beauty center, rooftop bar, and rooftop restaurant Il Tridente. Plus you can take a drive in a vintage convertible Volkswagon Beatle complimentary of your stay.
Location: Fantastic location, one of the best in Positano. Hotel Posideon is located off the main road that cuts its way through Positano. That makes getting in and out very seamless, and the beach is a short 10-minute walk away. One of my favorite Positano hotels.
It’s also nearby many shops and restaurants.

Hotel Villa Franca
Villa Franca is a stunning 5-star luxury hotel that features modern details and gorgeous unobstructed views of Positano.
Room Types: Each room is unique, but still features luxurious contemporary decor, and each room has a private terrace or balcony with views of the Mediterranean or Positano center. Rooms feature king beds, pure Italian linen sheets, wifi, air conditioning, 24-hour concierge, room service, and housekeeping.
Amenities: The amenities feature a rooftop pool, spa, gym, and complimentary shuttle to the town center. You’ll also have a fine dining signature restaurant, Li Galli with incredible views, and Gold, a sky terrace cocktail bar serving caviar, oysters, and light bites.
Location: Perched high in Positano, Villa Franca is centrally located and is right off the main road which makes it easily reachable. Because of the high location, walking to the beach and town center is possible, however, Villa Franca does provide a complimentary shuttle to the town center. Nearby you’ll find shops and restaurants.

Hotel Palazzo Murat
Ever want to stay in a luxurious historic residence? The Palazzo Murat is a beautiful Positano hotel located in the heart of Positano, just steps from the beach.
Room Types: There are 33 rooms with 8 different types that blend 19th-century architecture and fresh design elements. Rooms either have views of the church and town center, or a peaceful garden view.
Amenities: Amenities include a swimming pool and secret garden that really invites a sense of calm from the bustle of Positano. There is also a spa, and private parking area- the only hotel in the heart of Positano Italy.
For dining, you have the Palazzo restaurant located in the beautiful courtyard. Plus room service, and breakfast.
Location: This is the perfect location for those who want to be in the heart of the town center. The Palazzo Murat is located on the main pedestrian road just steps from shopping, restaurants, and the beach. You won’t have to climb many steps to reach your room after a day in the sun.
Because it’s almost on sea level, you’ll get a parallel upfront view of the church and the sea in the background.

Hotel Eden Roc Positano
Eden Roc is a charming boutique hotel with 25 rooms and 3 villas that have stunning views of Positano.

Location: Eden Roc is located on Amalfi Drive, the main road that connects Positano to Amalfi- but it’s located just a few steps from the main center of Positano. You’ll be close to shops and restaurants that share iconic views.

Alcione Residence, Positano
This bed & breakfast features suites and apartments all with private terraces overlooking one of the best vantage points in Positano- just a few steps from the most famous hotel in Positano, Italy.

Location: This hotel has a great location with a different kind of view of Positano facing the Fornillo Side. This area isn’t as busy as the main center, but you’re just a short walk away from the beach and more restaurants.

Il San Pietro is a breathtaking 5 Star Hotel that offers a private escape with unobstructed views of the sea, and full-service amenities perfect for a romantic honeymoon, or special occasion trip.
Room Types: All 55 Rooms and suites are carved into a cliff offering the most iconic views of the sea with a private terrace.
Amenities: Il San Pietro is one of the only hotels in Positano Italy to have a private beach club for hotel guests accessed by an elevator carved into the rock. There is also a freshwater swimming pool deck with views of Prianao and the sea, a regulation-size tennis court, and a complimentary 2- hour boat cruise from June to September.
For well-being, there is a fitness area, complimentary morning yoga, and a spa.
They also offer a complimentary shuttle service to the Positano Center, which is just 3 minute ride by car.
Restaurants: There are a few restaurants and bars on the property including Zass, a Michelin Starred restaurant on a panoramic terrace, and Carlino restaurant which is reserved only for guests and is located seaside. Location: Located between Positano and Priano off the main road gives this a private luxurious feel.

This charming bed & breakfast features a terrace and garden and is a value in Positano. This is a great pick for those with a car because this bed & breakfast is located on the main drive between the other towns on the Amalfi Coast and has a private garage.
Room Types: Most rooms have a private terrace or patio and all feature modern amenities like TV, Air conditioning, and toiletries. There are only 5 rooms, so this place gets booked quickly!

Location: Il Moro is located on the main road that connects Positano to the rest of the Amalfi Coast. It’s a short walk to the town center around 15 minutes, but you’ll be away from the majority of the crowds.
