As we know outdoor dining is here to stay in NYC. For the first time, restaurants have extended their kitchen to creative outdoor dining setups on sidewalks across New York. Here are cute outdoor dining restaurants in NYC that have a gorgeous setup, a delicious menu some including brunch, and of course heated winter outdoor dining so you can dine and stay cozy until the warmer weather arrives.

Casa La Femme

Experience a menu rich in culture at Casa Le Femme, an Egyptian restaurant tucked away on a cute corner in the West Village. The plush decor from inside translates to the gorgeous outdoor dining setup complete with heaters, and ample seating. Try Egyptian specialties like Mashway (Meditteranean charcoal grill), Mezze platter, and kebob platters. Sample unique cocktails or select from the lengthy wine list.

La Grande Boucherie

La Grande Boucherie

Enter the one-of-a-kind brasserie inspired by the elegant Art Nouveau style from the turn of the century at La Grand Boucherie. This traditional French Bistro turns the entire block of 6 1/2 Avenue into an authentic Parisian Square. The outdoor plaza features an arched skylight and plenty of additional heaters. 

Signature dishes include traditional bistro French favorites like French Onion Soup, mussels, and dry-aged steaks. Plus. enjoy signature cocktails with modern twists on the classics, and a selection of Absthine cocktails. 

Other locations of Boucherie include Union Square, West Village, and Petite Boucherie Bistro on Christopher Street.

Pinto Garden

Pinto Garden is located in the heart of the West Village and serves vibrant Thai cuisine served family-style. Each dish by Chef Teerawong “Yo” Nanthavatsiri is inspired by his home city of Bangkok and is prepared with seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. 

Stand-out dishes include Shrimp donuts, crab fried rice, and shrimp pad thai. Plus a must-order is the Rose Popsicle, which includes a glass full of fresh fruit, popsicle, and a serving of rose. 

You can opt for the heated sidewalk seating, or as shown in the photos, you can escape to the year-round outdoor heated garden that made me feel like I was in Alice in Wonderland. Florals and cute decor line the walls making it super cozy.

Piccola Cucina Uptown

Taste the flavors of authentic Sicily at Piccolo Cucina Uptown from chef Chef Phillip Guardione. Their outdoor seating has cute Silician touches from lemon branches, cozy seating, and of course plenty of heaters. Indulge in one of the many pasta options, my personal favorite was the Cacio e Pepe which was presented at the table rolled in a large parmesan wheel. 

Plus, Piccola Cucina Uptown’s lunch special is the perfect spot for a power lunch. The menu includes $14.95 specials (normally $16.95 – $25.95) for the same full-sized signature pasta portions. Lunch special prices are available from 11:30 AM to 4:00 Monday through Friday. 

You can find Piccola Cucina in two Soho Locations as well.

SERRA by Birreria

Escape to the winter woods at Serra by Birreria restaurant where the scenic decor changes seasonally. Located on the 14th floor of Eataly Flatiron, enjoy the ambiance inspired by starry nights in the forest this winter season. The rustic menu features Italian countryside favorites all made with top local produce, and seasonal ingredients sourced regionally and from Italy’s best producers. 

Be sure to enjoy the extensive cocktail menu where the drinks are warm and smokey. My personal favorite was the Hibiscus Margarita. P.S. don’t forget the desert.

Taco Vision

Escape to the Margarita Garden at Taco Vision, a fun taco bar and mezcaleria that has over 200 tequilas & mezcals. Enjoy classic flavors with a modern twist including Chicken Shwarma Tacos, Spicy Shrimp Tacos, and of course fresh guacamole. Tortillas are pressed in-house and all ingredients are locally and ethically sourced. 

This two-level eatery in Midtown East offers plenty of space to dine including heated outdoor street seating and an upstairs heated margarita garden. Taco Vision has a fun and inventive cocktail menu with different versions of the classic margarita like spicy, minty, fruity, and more. 

Taco Vision also has great specials including $40 bottomless margaritas and tacos on weekends, Daily Happy hour from 5PM-7PM, and $18 mezcal & tequila flights.

Olio e Piu

Olio e Piu, an authentic trattoria, serving dishes inspired by Naples cuisine has always been a West Village neighborhood favorite. Staple dishes include a focus on house-made pastas, hand-stretched pizza with a wood-fired oven, and Italian entrees. You’ll also find an extensive wine list and a variety of house cocktails. A must-order is the Nostrana white truffle pizza! 

The outdoor seating has always been surrounded by flowers and greenery. And in Winter, you’ll be very cozy in the heated covered dining area.

Nomo Kitchen

Dine in an unforgettably beautiful setting at Nomo Kitchen, where the rustic American menu with global influences tingle your palette. Nomo Kitchen is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and a unique weekend brunch showcasing farm-to-fork- seasonal cuisine. Plus sample unique cocktails with their seasonal cocktail menu. 

Nomo Kitchen has a beautiful outdoor dining set up in the heart of Soho on their enclosed patio that leads to the Nomo Hotel. You’ll definitely be cozy with plenty of heaters,  faux fur blankets, and rustic touches.

La Mercerie

La Mercerie

Tucked away on a quiet corner in Soho, La Mercerie is a contemporary French Eatery and pastry counter in the Roman Wiliams Guild home decor showcase. Serving brunch, ApĆ©ritfis, and dinner with new seasonal items and La Mercerie classics from Chef Marie-Aude Rose. The interior design is worth stepping inside for, but the outdoor dining reflects the beauty from inside. You’ll Heated lamps, ample seating, and nice decorative touches.

Maman

Maman is an idyllic Fench Cafe and bakery serving breakfast with eight locations around NYC. Tribeca has the most spacious location with plenty of seating. Enjoy soup, salads, and sandwiches along with other brunch and breakfast favorites in a gorgeous heated outdoor setting.

The first location is in Soho and has an adorable backyard garden. Maman is truly one of the cutest cafes in New York City so either one you visit will be worth sitting down for breakfast and brunch! P.S. the chocolate chip cookie is on Oprah’s list of favorite things.

Lafayette

Welcome to Le Village De Lafayette where outdoor dining meets a cozy village.  The sidewalk has now 12 Private heated chalets that seat up to 2-7 people that are super cozy with finishes like a textured rug, hanging snowflakes, alpaca furs, and fireplace heaters to keep you warm.  To book a chalet, you must participate in the winter pre-fixe menu which includes separate courses for dinner ($125 PP), and brunch ($65 PP) 

Winter menu highlights include Lafayette’s signature warm Truffle Fondue Savoyard, and Cheese Fondue, French Onion Soup, and more!

American Brass

Located on the waterfront of Long Island City Queens, American Brass is a new restaurant featuring dishes with Italian French, and American flavors. Enjoy the iconic Manhattan skyline view while you dine in clear greenhouses heated with infrared heaters in a relaxed upscale setting.

Jue Lan Club

Located in a truly unique setting, in a large garden courtyard at the Limelight Church in Chelsea, Jue Lan Club offers upscale Chinese Dining. Try Chinese specialties like Dim Sum, Dumplings, and fresh entree items. The garden is heated and has beautiful and romantic dining, and the sidewalk is lined with plenty of seating in a pink heated setup.

Route 66 Smokehouse

Head down to historic Stone Street to dine in a fun setting at Route 66 in your very own heated Bubble! There are different size bubbles available including VIP bubbles equipped with your own TV, electric fireplace, blankets, and games. Enjoy favorite American dishes and great BBQ with 16 beers on tap, a variety of cocktails, and a wine list!
