A great pair of over-the-knee boots are my favorite fall/ winter fashion shoe. These boots elongate your legs, and really defines your outfit. Pair your sleek over-the-knee boots with a sweater dress, or faux leather leggings and your legs will look miles long. No wonder over-the-knee boots are a must for the season.
In this post, I’ll detail the best over-the-knee boots for women ranging in all price ranges, colors, and materials.
What to Look for when buying over-the-knee boots:
The most important thing to look out for when looking for an OTK boot is the material. This will dictate how much the boot will cost.
Suede and leather will be the most expensive, while man-made materials will be more budget-friendly. If you are looking for a pair that will last more seasons, leather and suede will be your best value over time.
P.S. I’ve had my Stuart Weitzman Lowland’s for 6 seasons now, going on 7! While the price was steep when I purchased them, they have lasted me years. Just something to keep in mind when purchasing OTK boots.

Hands down, the best designer over the knee boot goes to the Lowland from Stuart Weitzman. The Lowland has been a favorite pick for years because of its classic style, flattering fit, and comfort.
Another reason why I love the Lowland: there is no need for a zipper! Because the material is made up of stretch suede, you simply just pull on the style, and the boot will contour to your own leg.
While the Lowland will be on the pricer side, these iconic boots will last you for years.
I might be a bit biased, but these are my personal go-to because they are so comfortable, and they stay perfectly above the knee. Plus, they have lasted me over 5 seasons. (And I’ve worn them nearly every day in fall/ winter)
Are Stuart Weitzman Lowland boots good for large calves?
Unfortunately, this style is cut for a smaller calf size/ leg size. However, they do offer this style in a wide width which does give some extra room.
