Quince Cashmere Review: Worth the Hype?

Once fall comes around, I hang up my linen and bring out my Cashmere. I’m obsessed with this material and don’t mind spending when it comes to quality cashmere.

But when I saw that Quince made a $60 Mongolian Cashmere Sweater I was all eyes & ears. 

I was so intrigued by Quince’s cashmere sweaters that I bought a few styles to put them to the test. 

In this post, I’m going to review a few of Quince’s Cashmere Sweaters from the classic $60 crewneck & v-neck to even more styles like the cashmere polo, cashmere tee, oversized styles, and more. 

Now not all quince cashmere sweaters are $60, but compared to other brands you’re still saving a lot of money when it comes to quality and, longevity.

But why even buy cashmere?

Before I get into the styles, I think it’s important to understand why cashmere has always been a pricy material. 

• Cashmere is 3 times warmer than wool 
• Cashmere is a natural fiber made from the undercoat of cashmere goats
• Breathable and lightweight making it body-regulating 
• Always in style & Extremely soft

Now let’s go over the Cashmere sweaters from Quince

Quince Cashmere Crewneck Sweater

The $60 Quince cashmere crewneck is the sweater that caught my attention. Before this sweater, you couldn’t find a 100% cashmere sweater for under $100 unless it was on sale! 

If you were looking for a classic crewneck sweater, one that you can wear over and over, this would be it. I like how this style isn’t too thick or heavy, and it’s great for layering underneath jackets and coats- yet still keeps you warm. 

The $60 price point is incredible considering the quality and materials- remember this is made out of 100% Grade A Mongolian Cashmere. I’d say its comparable to the classic J. Crew sweater for half thr price.

Now the best news is that in fall 2024, Quince “elevated” their cashmere sweaters yet kept the price at $60!

The first improvement was the thickness. Now they are a bit fuller than they were last year, but not too much where they become bulky.

I’ve owned a Quince cream cashmere sweater from 2023, and compared to the 2024 version it’s noticeably thicker and not see-through. 

Plus the upgrade of the sweaters made them more durable- meaning less pilling. 

The fit of this sweater is your classic fit and runs true to size. However, I prefer to size up to an XL in this style for a looser relaxed fit. 

Quince Cashmere V-Neck Sweater 

The $60 Quince Cashmere V-Neck sweater is just like the crewneck sweater and was “elevated” this year with more durability, less pilling with a more substantial feel.

If you love the idea of a classic sweater but prefer a v-neck line, this is going to be your best bet. I love the v-neck especially since I have a larger chest, I feel that this neckline is more flattering on me. 

Sizing is the same as the classic crewneck, and I prefer to size up in this style for a looser fit. But if you like a sweater that’s fitted, go with your true size. 

This style doesn’t come in as many colors as the crewneck, but there is still plenty of variety from classic colors to autumnal tones. 

Quince Mongolian Cashmere Tee

I never knew how much wear I would get out of a Cashmere Tee until I had this sweater! In fact, I recently wore this in my new driver’s license photo. 

Because of the shorter sleeves, I tend to gravitate towards this top in the fall and spring. I’ve even worn this out in Florida in 70-degree weather because it’s so lightweight, yet it keeps you warm.

I am not sure if this style also went through the “elevation” the classic cashmere and the v-neck cashmere went through just because the ivory color in my opinion is a tad sheer. 

The sizing is similar to their classic crewneck sweater, so I prefer to size up in this style for a more relaxed fit. 

But for a 100% cashmere top under $50, I really can’t complain about the quality! 

Mongolian Cashmere Oversized V-neck sweater

This oversized v-neck sweater is so cozy and luxurious, it’s one of my favorites from Quince. 

Unlike the classic v-neck sweater, this style is oversized, longer, and slightly thicker- making it a great fit to wear with leggings and jeans. 

And because of this fit, it gives a more relaxed look- perfect for lounging at home or casual errands. I ordered my true size L and it still had an oversized look. 

I also love the contrast ribbed neckline and hem that adds more interest to this sweater. 

I have to say that the Quince brown color is gorgeous. It’s a perfect neutral brown that works with every skin tone and looks so luxurious. Plus the brown color comes in many Quince sweaters, which I admittedly have a few of. 

Quince Cashmere Funnel Neck Sweater

This funnel neck style looks even better in person! I wasn’t too sure if I was going to like the fit of this neckline, but once I put it on, I was in love. 

The funnel neck is modern and elegant. 

I liked how this style offered a relaxed fit, yet it still looked tailored making it a great option for work, weekends, or lounging at home. 

The color “Oatmeal” is a beautiful beige with a pinkish undertone. And for sizing it runs true to size. No need to size up or down. 

Quince Cashmere Polo Sweater

A polo sweater is a timeless style and I loved how they made this classic in a cashmere version. 

This sweater fits true to size, and I’m wearing it in a size Large.

This sweater comes in a handful of colors, but the color ‘faded denim’ a pretty light blue shade is perfect for spring! 

Cashmere Fisherman Pullover Hoodie

If you’re looking for the most luxurious ribbed cashmere, the ‘Fisherman’ styles on Quince are stunning. 

This pullover hoodie is probably one of the most luxurious casual sweaters I own.

The cashmere on this sweater is ultra soft, cozy, yet lightweight making this my go-to for weekends, errands, and lounging at home. 

Even though this is a casual silhouette, the cashmere makes this look elegant even though it’s a hoodie. 

Sizing runs true to size with a relaxed fit. Wearing this in a size large.

Cashmere Fisherman Quater Zip

Another luxurious style is the cashmere fisherman quarter zip sweater. Just like the sweater above, the material is ultra-soft and lightweight and the half zip is the perfect blend of casual and chic. 

Now they have this exact style in a 100% Merino wool version that I also own, and I wear it all the time since it comes in more colors. So whether you want 100% cashmere or 100% wool you can find it in this style. 

This fits true to size with a relaxed fit so need to size up or down. 

Cashmere Sweater Dress 

Lastly, I tried out the cashmere sweater dress and thought it was adorable, a great option for a fall outfit or something to wear with knee-high boots. 

I did order this in a size Large and felt it was a bit too fitted for my liking. I would size up if you prefer a looser fit. 

Is Quince Cashmere worth it? 

Yes, the price is unbeatable and with the quality improvements from fall 2024, you are getting a fantastic sweater that you can wear for years to come.

You can find classic styles along with more unique types of sweaters that match any style. 

Your sweaters can last even longer with proper care. To make your cashmere last longer, I would recommend washing cold on delicate with cashmere-friendly detergent and letting air dry.
