If there’s one item I can’t live without in my summer wardrobe, it’s a great pair of white linen pants. And I have a bit of an obsession with trying new pairs to see which ones are actually worth buying.

Some became instant favorites, while others didn’t quite make the cut. In this guide, I’m sharing the white linen pants I actually wear, along with my honest thoughts on the fit, fabric, comfort, and whether they’re worth buying. 

Whether you’re looking for an easy pull-on pair for vacation, a polished linen trouser for work, or an everyday style you’ll wear all summer long, these are my top recommendations.

J.Crew Soleil Pull-On Linen Pant

There’s a reason J.Crew brings back the Soleil pant year after year. While being 100% linen, they are lightweight, incredibly soft, and one of the few white linen pants I’ve found that aren’t overly see-through. 

The white pair is fully lined (with viscose) but still feels cool and breathable, even on the hottest days. Because of the minimal drawstring style, I wear these constantly as a beach cover-up and have even worn dark swimsuits underneath without them showing through. 

I also love that they come in three inseam lengths. I’m 5’10 and wear a Large Tall, and the length is perfect for us tall girls. 

If you’re looking for an easy, relaxed linen pant for vacations, beach days, or planning what to wear on a cruise, these are one of my top recommendations.

Athleta Retreat Linen Pant

If you’re looking for the perfect linen pants for travel, I highly recommend the Athleta Retreat Linen Pant. These are made from 100% linen and are one of my go-to pants for travel days. 

The white color is unlined, so I recommend wearing nude underwear underneath. They come in multiple colors and both regular and tall inseam lengths. I sized up to an XL for a more relaxed fit and wear the regular length.

What really sets them apart are the zippered front pockets, which are perfect for keeping your phone, passport, or credit card secure while you’re at the airport.

I even wore the black pair on my last overnight flight home from Europe, and they were incredibly comfortable for a long-haul trip. Plus, you can wear these at your destination while still looking stylish.

Quince Wide Leg Linen Pant

Another pull-on favorite of mine is the Quince European Linen Wide Leg Pant. While they don’t offer these in a pure white, the flax color is an everyday favorite. 

These are made from 100% European linen and have a relaxed elastic waistband with a drawstring for an easy, casual feel.

I wear these constantly for travel because they’re lightweight, comfortable, and easy to style.

They come in different inseam lengths, although the longest is 30 inches. At 5’10”, they fit me slightly cropped, but I still reach for them all the time.

Compared to the J.Crew Soleil Pant, these have a thicker waistband and a slightly more casual look, making them one of my favorite everyday linen pants.

Quince 100% Linen Trouser

If you’re looking for a linen pant that’s a little more polished, I love the Quince 100% European Linen Trouser.

Unlike the pull-on styles, these have a classic trouser silhouette with belt loops, making them easy to dress up for the office, dinner, or a more elevated summer outfit.

The white pair is fully lined, so they’re much less see-through than many other white linen pants I’ve tried. I wear a size XL, and the fit is fantastic.

At under $55, these are one of the best affordable linen trousers I’ve found and look much more expensive than they are.

Aritzia The Effortless Linen Pant 

If you don’t mind a linen blend, the Aritzia The Effortless Linen Pant is one of my favorite tailored options. Made with a linen and viscose blend, they have a beautiful drape and a crisp front pleat that instantly elevates any outfit.

I’ve worn these to business meetings in New York City during the summer, and they strike the perfect balance between polished and breathable. They have a more structured feel than 100% linen pants, making them a great choice for the office, business casual outfits, or whenever you want a dressier linen pant.

A&F Sloane Linen-Blend Tailored Wide Leg Pant

If you prefer a linen blend, the Abercrombie Sloane Linen Blend Trouser is one of my favorite elevated options. The white pair is fully lined, so they’re much less see-through than most white linen pants, and the linen blend fabric is incredibly soft with a beautiful drape. 

Compared to the Aritzia Effortless Pant, these have a softer, more relaxed feel while still looking polished. 

I also love that they come in petite, regular, and tall inseam lengths, making them a great option for a variety of heights. Which is why I love their options, including Abercrombie Jeans.

The high-waisted, wide-leg silhouette is incredibly flattering and easy to dress up or down, whether you’re packing them for Europe or wearing them to dinner. 

Amazhiyu Linen Drawstring Flowy Wide Leg Pants

If you’re shopping on Amazon, I was pleasantly surprised by the Amazhiyu 100% Linen Wide Leg Pant. They remind me a lot of the J.Crew Soleil Pant with their relaxed drawstring waist and easy, wide-leg silhouette.

The biggest difference is that these are unlined, so the white pair is a bit more see-through, and the linen isn’t quite as soft. That said, they’re still an excellent value for the price.

I wear a size XL, loved them so much that I bought a second pair in flax, and appreciate that they come in a wide variety of colors, including some fun seasonal shades. If you’re between sizes, I’d recommend sizing up for a more relaxed fit.

Amazhiyu 100% Linen Drawstring Wide Leg Pants with Pockets

Another great Amazon find is the Amazhiyu Pull-On Linen Pant. These have a relaxed, casual fit that reminds me of a mix between the Quince European Linen Wide Leg Pant and the Athleta Retreat Pant.

They feature a thicker elastic waistband, back pockets, and an easy pull-on design that’s perfect for everyday wear. Like many white linen pants, they’re unlined, so I recommend wearing nude underwear underneath.

The linen quality is surprisingly nice for the price, and I sized up to an XL for a more relaxed fit. If you prefer a wider waistband and an even more casual look, these are a great option.

Final Thoughts

A great pair of white linen pants is one of the hardest-working pieces in my summer wardrobe. These are always one of the first pieces I pack for Italy.
