Walmart fall fashion 2026 outfits including a burgundy jacket, plaid dress and tapestry jacket

Walmart fall fashion is officially starting to arrive, and there are already so many good pieces this season. From trend-forward jackets to easy transitional dresses and workwear finds, I was genuinely impressed by this first round of new arrivals.

This is still somewhat of a soft launch for Walmart fall fashion, so I expect a lot more to drop over the next few weeks. But after trying on the newest pieces, these are the 10 Walmart fall finds I’m most excited about right now.

1. Chambray Ruffle Top

Rinse wash chambray ruffle top

This chambray top might be one of the most versatile pieces from the entire haul. The chambray fabric gives it that classic denim look, while the ruffle detailing around the neckline makes it feel a little more elevated and feminine.

I especially love the length. It’s not overly cropped or too long, so it works beautifully with jeans, trousers, and skirts. You could even pair it with denim for a full denim-on-denim look.

Sizing: I’m wearing a size Large and found it true to size.

2. Tapestry Jacket

Jacquard tapestry jacket

This jacket was easily one of the coolest pieces I tried. The tapestry-inspired fabric combined with the contrast trim makes it look much more expensive than it is.

It also fits perfectly into the darker, romantic fabrics we’re seeing for fall. I personally prefer styling the jacket separately from the matching skirt so the beautiful pattern can really stand out.

Pair it with jeans, white denim, trousers, or a simple skirt and let the jacket do all the work.

Sizing: I’m wearing an XL because the Large was sold out, but I would recommend your normal size.

3. Burgundy Floral Fall Dress

Burgundy floral fall dress

If it still feels like summer where you live, this floral dress is such a good transitional piece.

The burgundy floral print immediately makes it feel like fall without requiring layers, boots, or heavy fabrics. It cinches at the waist, has a flattering flutter sleeve, and, most importantly, has pockets.

The fabric is lightweight with a little movement and stretch, making this an easy dress to start wearing now and continue styling as temperatures cool down.

And if you’re not quite ready to say goodbye to warm-weather dressing, you can still shop my favorite pieces from my Walmart Summer Fashion roundup.

4. Plaid Cropped Pants

Bayard plaid cropped pants

Plaid is going to be everywhere this fall, and these pants are such an easy way to bring the trend into your wardrobe.

The color combination is surprisingly versatile. You could pair them with brown, burgundy, black, gray, blue, or even a simple cream sweater.

They also make a great affordable workwear find. Add a blouse and ballet flats and you have an easy office outfit that still feels current.

Sizing: I tried a size 14. They have more of a mid-rise fit, and I would consider sizing up if you have wider hips or want the pockets to lay flatter.

5. Hourglass Blazer

Black hourglass blazer

This might be my favorite blazer from the entire Walmart fall collection.

It’s appropriately called the hourglass blazer because the shape really cinches you in at the waist. Instead of feeling like traditional workwear, this is a blazer I would wear for dinner or date night with jeans or trousers.

It gives you that low-cut blazer look while still allowing enough coverage to wear a regular bra, which I appreciate as someone with a larger bust.

Sizing: I’m wearing a Large. It was slightly tight through the bust, so I would consider sizing up if you’re fuller-chested.

6. Burgundy Lady Jacket

You definitely don’t need to spend $200+ to get the lady jacket look this fall.

This Walmart version has beautiful ruffle detailing, gold buttons, a cropped silhouette, and the prettiest burgundy-purple color. It looks polished enough for work but can easily be dressed down with jeans and a simple white or black top.

Lady jackets are also one of those pieces I keep in my wardrobe year after year. They’re perfect when you need an extra layer that makes an outfit look instantly more put together.

7. Cinched-Waist Trench Jacket

If 2026 is the year of the jacket, Walmart definitely understood the assignment.

This cropped trench has several details that make it stand out, including a funnel neckline, oversized hood, and adjustable waist. I especially love being able to cinch the waist because so many jackets can end up looking boxy.

The classic khaki color also means you can wear it with practically everything in your fall wardrobe.

Sizing: I’m wearing a Large, but it runs slightly oversized. I could have comfortably worn a Medium.

8. Plaid Collared Midi Dress

For something a little more classic and modest, this plaid midi dress is beautiful.

The contrasting white collar gives it such an elegant look, while the elastic waist and tie belt add definition. It also has pockets and a longer, flowy silhouette that would look gorgeous styled with boots for fall.

There is also a full chambray version if you prefer a more classic denim look.

For even more affordable new arrivals, I also tried on the latest Old Navy Fall Fashion and found some really good pieces for the season.

9. White Barn Jacket

White barn jacket

I love a barn jacket for fall, but the white color is what really sold me on this one.

Once we get deeper into the season and everything becomes brown, burgundy, olive, and black, this adds some brightness back into your wardrobe. The contrasting trim gives it that classic barn-jacket look while still feeling fresh.

Even better, the fabric is 100% cotton, which is especially impressive considering the affordable Walmart price point.

10. Tapestry Mini Skirt

Jacquard tapestry mini skirt

The matching tapestry skirt was another standout for me. It has that same dark, romantic fabric as the jacket, which feels especially trend-forward for fall, but I actually prefer wearing the two pieces separately.

I styled the skirt with a burgundy blouse and loved how it let the pattern really stand out. It would also look so good with tights once the weather gets cooler, or paired with a simple sweater and boots for an easy fall outfit.

Sizing: I’m wearing a size 14 and found it true to size. It has more of a mid-rise fit.

11. Beaded Bug Sweater

This beaded sweater is just FUN. The little rhinestone-beaded bugs give a classic green sweater an unexpected detail, and from far away they’re subtle enough that you don’t immediately realize they’re bugs.

Sizing: I’m wearing a Large. It has a slightly more fitted silhouette.

And because you know I love a good Amazon find, don’t miss my Amazon Fall Fashion Must-Haves for even more affordable pieces to add to your wardrobe.

12. Cropped Blazer

Black cropped blazer

Cropped and shrunken jackets are a big trend for fall, and this cropped blazer is such an easy way to wear the look. The shorter length works especially well with high-waisted jeans or trousers and instantly gives an outfit a more polished shape.

Sizing: I’m wearing a Large and found it true to size.

Walmart Just Launched a New Fashion Brand: Scenario

Fall outfits

Walmart also just launched a brand-new fashion line called Scenario, and there are already some seriously chic pieces in the collection. Think elevated fall staples, rich colors, great jackets, and pieces that look much more expensive than their Walmart price tags.

I have a full Scenario review coming soon where I’ll be trying on more of the collection and sharing my favorite pieces, sizing, and what I think is actually worth buying. But if you want to get a head start, I rounded up some of the Scenario looks that caught my eye below.

Are Walmart Fall Clothes Worth It?

Walmart continues to impress me when it comes to affordable fashion because they’re not only recreating basic wardrobe staples. They’re actually experimenting with interesting silhouettes, fabrics, colors, and details that make the pieces feel special.

This first fall drop is especially strong when it comes to jackets and transitional pieces, and I already have several of these finds that I know I’ll be styling throughout the season.

Walmart pieces also tend to sell out quickly, especially when new collections first launch, so if you see something you love, I wouldn’t wait too long.

And this is only the beginning. Walmart is still releasing its fall collection, so I’ll continue updating my Walmart fashion finds as more pieces launch.
